Pete Espil and Jaime Thietten-Espil are speaking at parishes in southern Idaho on mental health challenges faced by teens and young adults. Espil is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years’ experience working with youth. His wife, Thietten-Espil, is a vocalist of 20 years, who has sung for retreats and conferences.
The couple is creating the “Sacred Heart Ranch,” for young women, ages 18 to 25, who are struggling with mental health and life skills following trauma. Talks are scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s in Nampa and at 6 p.m. at St Mary’s in Boise and also on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. at St. Edward’s in Twin Falls. The speaking events are free, but a free-will donation will be collected for Sacred Heart Ranch.
