Father Gabriel Morales, pastor of Presentation of the Lord Parish in American Falls, Blessed Sacrament in Aberdeen, and St. John’s in Pinegree is recovering well from a vehicle accident on March 24.
In a statement released to the Idaho Catholic Register, Presentation of the Lord Parish said that his final of multiple surgeries to repair his broken legs and shoulder was just after Easter Sunday. No further surgeries are expected, depending on how well he continues to recover.
Because he will need to learn to walk again, his recovery with physical therapy could take six months to a year.
Father Morales has no financial needs. All of his expenses are covered by insurance and the Diocese of Boise. However, the parish asked for continued prayers for Father Morales and that those who want to help send him “Get Well” cards or notes of encouragement.
All cards and notes for him can be sent to Presentation of the Lord Parish, P.O. Box 117, American Falls, ID, 83211.
