Marcellino D'Ambrosio
Marcellino D'Ambrosio, Ph.D., known as “Dr. Italy” on television and radio, is coming to Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Boise. Dr. D’Amborsio is presenting four sessions on the topic, “Discipleship as the Greatest Adventure and Spiritual Wellness: Thriving, not Surviving” on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24.
Dr. D’Ambrosio received his Ph.D. in historical theology from Catholic University of America, under the direction of Jesuit scholar Avery Cardinal Dulles. D’Ambrosio has taught in several universities and authored numerous books and articles.
In addition to his academic work, he has also made guest appearances as a religious commentator on secular and Catholic television and radio. His series on the Church Fathers on EWTN has been running for 20 years. He recently collaborated with Ascension Press for video and book study series, including “Jesus: The Way the Truth and the Life” and “What We Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Faith.”
D’Ambrosio is also director of Crossroads Initiative, a non-profit ministry of
evangelization and renewal.
Admission to the presentations at Our Lady of the Rosary is free. However, a free-will offering will be taken. Daycare is provided. Lunch is included on Saturday. Friday begins with a “meet and greet” at 6:30 p.m. followed by the presentation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Doors open on Saturday at 9 a.m. with sessions beginning at 9:30 and ending at 4 p.m.
