Fundraiser for Haiti still planned, but Father Frechette unable to come

Father Rick Frechette, who leads a mission in Haiti, was forced to cancel his Sept. 15 appearance in Boise at a fundraising dinner at the Barber Park Event Center due to political unrest in Haiti that makes it unsafe for travel.

However, the dinner, sponsored by Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, is planned to go on. Speaking will be Father Enzo Del Brocco, who, like Father Frechette, is also a Passionist priest. He served with Father Frechette in Haiti and has spoken at Project Haiti events in previous years. There will also be a videotaped message from Father Frechette.
