Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in middle school humanities courses.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, critical thinking, communication, and research skills.
- Create engaging lessons that integrate literature, history, current events, and Catholic values.
- Assess student learning regularly and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and academic achievement.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to support student success.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and faith-based activities.
- Model Christian values and support the mission of Catholic education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, History, Humanities, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong knowledge of middle school curriculum and adolescent development.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
